I said this in the introduction to this challenge / Journey, but it bears repeating:
Choose one thing from the list. You are welcome to do more if you like; but this is not intended to burden your time, and resources. Each week we will offer a new list of steps Do that which will benefit your household best. If you do anything at all, you will be better off for it. This journey is asynchronous so you can begin this journey anytime throughout the year. In fact I first invited people to join the journey mid February. I recommend starting at the beginning, No need to play catch up. You can start by checking out the “challenge” introduction or jump in at Week One
Happy prepping!

Food*:
2 lg boxes instant potatoes
And/Or
2 containers cornstarch
And/Or
One case of your favorite beans
Household:
2 boxes heavy duty garbage bags - most often used size.
72 hour kit:
Prepare a small first aid kit for each 72 hour bag.
Emergency $
Add $5 to your emergency money ziplock bag (in each 72 hour kit if possible)
Family Prep:
Do a walk through of your home, concentrating on potential hazards in bedrooms. Verify shoes and flashlights are located by beds, and floors are free of toys/obstacles.
Water:
In a large ziplock bag, place 3 clean flour sack dish towels or comparable items, not the hand towel type fabric. This is useful for a number of reasons. But the tight weave of these towels ( which actually keeps flour contained) makes them ideal for filtering out debris. The dish towel size allows you to filter more faster. Once filtered you can either pass it through a filtration/purification system or boil the water.
*Food is personal and people have different dietary needs/restrictions and tastes. As Always, You know your household’s needs best. Modify to suit your needs.
** It would be great if you can add water to your supply each week.
