I said this in the introduction to this challenge / Journey, but it bears repeating:
Choose one thing from the list. You are welcome to do more if you like; but this is not intended to burden your time, and resources. Each week we will offer a new list of steps Do that which will benefit your household best. If you do anything at all, you will be better off for it. This journey is asynchronous so you can begin this journey anytime throughout the year. In fact I first invited people to join the journey mid February. I recommend starting at the beginning, No need to play catch up. You can start by checking out the “challenge” introduction or jump in at Week One

Family Prep
Place a pair of gloves**, flashlight and sturdy shoes by the bed for each person for emergencies during the night. Modify this to fit your household’s needs. Chances are, for example, your infant will not need a flashlight.
*Food is personal and people have different dietary needs/restrictions and tastes. For example, my household has medical restrictions on sodium, potassium, and high phosphorus foods. We are also advised to eat fresh as much as possible. However, there are lower sodium options in some canned foods so I am mindful of that. As we look at protein sources as some of them are more appropriate for our particular diet than are others. As Always, You know your household’s needs best. Modify to suit your needs.
** Note: your location may determine the type of gloves you choose. In colder climates you might need winter gloves. In earthquake country you may want work gloves to protect yourself from broken glass and other debris.
