Past Activities
No matter what the activity, we have fun when we can come together. Add some laughter and some snacks and we are sure to have a good time. Did you attend any of these? I would love to hear what you thought of them as well as ideas for future activities. And if you have pictures or videos, I would love to see them.
Paint & Sip

We had a fantastic turn out for our paint and sip evening. The conversation and friendship were truly the highlight of the night. Special thanks to the wonderful guidance from Fran. Her efforts are greatly appreciated. The hot chocolate bar was a big hit and ladies brought a delicious array of snacks and sweets. Our painting of the evening was a sweet little watercolor nativity scene. And the results were absolutely lovely and very creative.
My Mother's Mother

My Mother's Mother was an opportunity to look back to the women that came before us. Tracing our matriarchal lines, we shared traditions, memories and stories about the women that helped to shape future generations. We enjoyed a nice dinner and good company. the stories were funny, inspiring, and a great way to learn more about our sisters through their family stories and traditions. After dinner we channeled the pioneer women that helped to shape the Relief Society as it is today - with a project runway unusual materials challenge. The results were very creative.

Let's Get This Show on the Road was a nod to our old roadshows. We had several acts, and everyone participated. Our opening act was none other than The Amazing Ava with her fabulous assistant Annie. Thier magic tricks entertained, and the Amazing Ava was thrilled to show off her skills. Our Out of The Box group was given an eclectic array of objects and a challenge to create a script that incorporated afore mentioned props. The Glow Gals really lit up the stage. They did their own choreography and made their own costumes (out of glow sticks). The Diving Divas showed off their unconventional
synchronized swimming skills. Look out Esther Williams. The Song Birds serenaded us from the shower with their disco rendition of Rubber Duckie. Of course, no theater experience would be complete without a concession stand. The popcorn bar fit the bill. How could we watch such a show without popcorn?

Game Show Night

Our first activity in quite a while - and the first one I helped work on. We had a great turn out, perhaps in part because we hadn't had an activity in quite some time. I received a lot of positive feedback from our Game Show Night. We started off with a baked potato bar and a price is right game to get the festivities started. Next up we played Friendly Feud. Then, we got active with some Minute to Win it inspired games. How fast can you stack cups? Finally, we played some classic Let's Make a Deal Games. This was such a fun night!
